Here they come again: The Medfly has been spotted in our area. It’s been just over 30 years since the first outbreak of the Mediterranean fruit fly (Ceratitis capitata) in Southern California. This first incidence caused widespread panic both in the agricultural industry and the urban landscape where it occurred.
