One of California’s largest custom home builders, G.J. Gardner Homes, has announced that it will open a new franchise in Solvang, Calif. this month. The new franchise will offer customers in Santa Barbara County a chance to build their custom dream home at a reasonable price. Recently, the G.J. Gardner Homes North America was named one of the top 200 franchises in the world.

The Santa Barbara County franchise is owned by husband and wife team Ryan and Heather Cuff. In 2004, Ryan entered into the construction trade as an electrician with Blum and Sons Electric where he demonstrated his ability to handle a steep learning curve as he worked his entire first year building the new Marymount School facility in Santa Barbara. A dedicated member of the U.S. Army, Ryan was called to serve in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and NATO forces in the Balkans during 2005 and 2006.

Upon his return in early 2006, Ryan went to work as an electrician for SJM Contracting, and within a year he earned the position of lead project manager and superintendant. During his time at SJM Contracting, Ryan worked on and oversaw hundreds of residential and light commercial contracts. Ryan’s long standing goal and policy for all of his work has been to know, intimately, his customers needs and intentions from start to finish, which will contribute to his success as a franchise owner for G.J. Gardner Homes. Since completing his first active duty tour in the U.S. Army, Ryan Cuff has lived and worked in Santa Barbara County for 12 years. His combined military experience of 15 years includes five years served in the Infantry, and 10 years as an Airdrop Systems Technician. Ryan continues to serve in the Reserves and is responsible for the coordination of all West Coast Airborne and Airdrop Support Missions.
