A $43,000 donation from the Luria Foundation has enabled the SBCC library to expand its hours and hire a resources specialist. The library is now open on Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m. Previously, it has not been open on Saturdays at all. The resources specialist position will be staffed as a year-long fellowship and the first fellow — Molly Ridge, a recent graduate of the University of Washington library science program — has already been selected. The Luria Library is open to the public, and nonstudents can checkout books for a fee.
