This new Santa Barbara-based nonprofit organization was recently launched to educate both the general public and the medical community about this little-known, serious neurological disorder.
Jason Floyd has been involved with the development of the ICA from the very beginning and has knowledge of every aspect of the organization. He assists Founder/President Pete Dal Bello with day-to-day operations, as well as in the planning of long-term goals. Floyd has the hands-on experience and the skill set necessary to help the ICA continue to prosper. A Santa Barbara native, Floyd has worked for a variety of local companies including Villa Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara Shellfish Co. and White Star Catering. As a lifelong passion, he has been shaping surfboards under his own label, Floyd Surfboards, since the early ’90s.
“Like all nine Board Members, I have known Jay since we went to Santa Barbara High School together,” said Pete Dal Bello, Founder and President of the ICA. “With his vast financial services background, and nonprofit volunteer experience within the community, Rob is a valuable asset to our organization. His expertise will guide and grow the ICA so we can continue to help Chiarians all over the world.”
