Two People, Dog Stabbed Saturday Night
Police Say Incident Not Gang-Related; No Arrests Made
Santa Barbara police are investigating an incident that left a 48-year-old woman, a 52-year-old man, and the man’s dog with multiple stab wounds Saturday night. According to police spokesperson Sgt. Riley Harwood, the couple arrived at the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital Emergency Room at around 6:30 p.m. The dog was found outside in the parking lot. All were treated for their injuries — the dog was transported to CARES Animal Hospital — and are expected to survive. The ongoing investigation indicates that at the time of the incident, the victims were on the 700 block of East Haley Street when they were attacked by a suspect. Harwood said additional details are being withheld.
