Cue the rise of the one-hitter pipe, also known as a “bat” or a “chillum,” depending on your lexicon. They first became popular in sneaky cigarette-looking devices before handblown glass forms took over. But now you can also find them in acrylic, quartz, wood, and metal, many of which come in a “dugout,” which is the name for a small kit to hold the pipe, herb, and other tools.
