Karole Foreman shines as Billie Holiday in Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill presented by PCPA at the Solvang Festival Theater through September 5. Directed by Wren T. Brown and featuring Stephan Terry as Jimmy Powers, this play tells the story of Holiday’s life through the dramatization of a single performance from near the end of her life. The outdoor Solvang Festival Theater is a great venue for this outstanding play with music.
