Camerata Pacifica: Brahms, Schnittke and Prokofiev

Johannes Brahms’s friends and colleagues called it “marvelous,” “moving,” and “deep and full of meaning.” You can judge for yourself when Camerata Pacifica performs his elegant Clarinet Quintet, Op. 115 in its February concerts with clarinetist Jose Franch-Ballester. Violinist Paul Huang offers Alfred Schnittke’s moving Prelude in Memory of Dmitri Shostakovich. And pianist Gilles Vonsattel joins for the deeply probing Violin Sonata No. 1 by Sergei Prokofiev.
