The Carpinteria Holiday Spirit Parade sashayed with seasonal panache down Linden Avenue on Saturday, December 14. In addition to a plethora of community members including cheerleaders from Carpinteria High, marching bands, local elected officials, and four-legged friends from the 4-H club, Santa was on hand to greet revelers after the parade.
Other holiday festivities making the small town spirits bright in Carpinteria last weekend included a Holiday Festival hosted by the Lynda Fairly Carpinteria Arts Center, with live entertainment from the Cate School Jazz Band, food and beverages, arts and crafts, and a visit from Santa, as well as Hospice of Santa Barbara’s Light Up a Life tree ceremony at the Seal Fountain Plaza.
