• Angels Bearing Gifts is an S.B. nonprofit that delivers holiday gifts to persons with developmental disabilities. The group is looking for volunteers to help wrap gifts on Thursday, December 15, from 6-8 p.m., or on Saturday, December 17, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at 505 East Montecito Street. • Three S.B.-based nonprofit animal rescue organizations will host Holiday Street Fair Dog Adoption Event and Fundraiser this Saturday, December 10, at Pet House (5781 Calle Real, Goleta) and throughout the Calle Real Shopping Center. The Second Chance Cocker Rescue, Cold Noses Warm Hearts, and the K-9 Placement and Assistance League will bring about 20 adoptable dogs to the event, all eager to meet their potential human parents. The event runs from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and will also feature strolling carolers, a jewelry and pet-item sale, and a wandering Santa Claus. Call 687-4674 for more info.
