Santa Barbara County was awarded two water project grants from the state Department of Water Resources totaling more than $3.6 million. One $3.1-million grant will help implement seven different water projects, including the San Jose Creek Capacity Improvement and Fish Passage Project in Goleta and the Goleta Sanitary District’s wastewater treatment plant upgrade. The other grant of $555,000 will be used to update the county’s 2006 Integrated Regional Water Management Plan.
