The Killers Release The Cowboys’ Christmas Ball
The Killers have released their sixth consecutive annual Christmas single with proceeds going to (RED). The Cowboys’ Christmas Ball became available via iTunes from December 1st (World AIDS Day), along with the Las Vegas band’s previous Christmas singles, collected together and available as an EP for the first time. All proceeds from the song and the EP’s sales will benefit the (RED) organization’s global fight against AIDS. Additionally, supporters of (RED)’s just announced 2015 Campaign, which aims to create an AIDS-free generation by 2015, can also receive their choice of Killers Christmas single for free upon pledging to the 2015 Quilt at www.2015quilt.com.
The Cowboys’ Christmas Ball sees The Killers perform a classic 1890 cowboy poem by Larry Chittenden, “The Poet-Ranchman of Texas”, in irresistible hoe-down style. A video to accompany the single will follow shortly.
The Killers are currently working on a new record, the follow-up to 2008’s #1 album, Day & Age.
