Byron Classic at Westmont College
TOP SPORTING EVENTS: DECEMBER 26-JANUARY 4
Eight teams square off today (Sat., Dec. 26) at the start of the Holiday Classic boys basketball tournament at Santa Barbara High’s J.R. Richards Gym. The tournament will continue Monday through Wednesday, with games at 2:30, 4, 5:30 and 7 p.m. each day. The first three days consist of round-robin play in two separate pools that will determine the final matchups Wednesday. San Marcos and Santa Barbara are in opposite pools. Daily admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children.
Westmont College will host teams from Iowa, Pennsylvania and Nebraska in the 34th annual Tom Byron Classic on Tuesday and Wednesday.
