Community Dye Bath

Are you ready to add some color to your life? Join Art From Scrap for a Community Dye Bath on October 29th, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm outside in the Art From Scrap parking lot.

Do you have a white shirt that needs some color? A t-shirt with some stains? Want to bring new life to an old tea towel? These items and more are welcome. The cost is $5.00 per item.

This drop in event is open to all ages. We’ll have a vat of plant-derived Indigo dye for cottons, linens, silks, and wool- natural fabrics that work well with plant dyes. For fabrics, like polyester, there will be a couple of vats of synthetic dyes.

Materials will be available for creating Shibori patterns before dipping your materials in the color of your choice.

Bring new life to old items at this hands on activity at Art From Scrap. Creative reuse helps the environment, saves you money, and is so much fun. We can’t wait to see what you create!
