Cultivating Harmony & Happiness will feature five local experts focusing on each of the Collectives five main pillars: movement, creativity, nourishment, relaxation and mindfulness. For movement, Emma Davis of Yoga Dance Magic helps you awaken your true self. All done in silence, wearing state of the art wireless headphones, this class uses free form, non-choreographed movement to awesome music, culminating in an epic dance party. No previous yoga or dance experience is necessary and all levels are welcome. Staci Curry of The Art of Henna leads the creativity workshop with simple, foundational henna strokes and basic designs that are used in the most intricate henna applications. Attendees will practice on boards and then on their own skin with a non-dying lotion to get the feel of applying henna with a cone. The workshop includes a take-home material to practice with as well as a pre-mixed, high-quality henna stain and a rolled cone for you to create designs on yourself and friends. Kimberly Zimmerman, health coach and owner of The Juicy Life, demystifies the world of juicing for the nouishment section of the retreat. This introduction to juicing class covers the wonderfully delicious and powerfully apparent health benefits of juicing. Students will learn the differences in machines needed, health benefits provided, and textures experienced between juicing and blending. In the relaxation portion of the day, Jennifer Lindley of Heaven on Earth Health Spa, will host an acupressure seminar: the 7 Points to Balance. In this hands-on workshop, attendees learn basic techniques and acupressure point locations to hep relieves a wide variety of issues such as chronic pain, arthritis, muscles and nerve discomfort, anxiety and stress, headaches, digestive problems, low energy and more. The final seminar of the day is the mindfulness workshop hosted by Brandi Davis, Back Pocket Life Coach. Davis encourages attendees to unleash their authentic self by enriching personal development in a small, intimate group setting where trust, safety, and personal connection is fostered. Designed to offer real-life tools to help you make the changes you want, at your own pace, the workshop includes a process group promoting vulnerability and allowing individuals to receive multiple perspectives, support, and encouragement in order to deepen self- awareness. This one-day retreat ticket costs $315 and includes all five one-hour seminars, snacks, and beverages throughout the day and a glass of Sunstone wine to enjoy at the end of the retreat.
