When you hear the phrase “edible landscape,” you might envision cherry tomatoes climbing over a terrace, a bed of edible flowers like calendula and nasturtium, or hues of purple from Swiss chard and purple cabbage. Although California native plants may not immediately come to mind, they are also a bountiful source of food that can enrich both your diet and your yard.
Landscape Designer Natasha Elliott will help you re-imagine the meaning of edible landscape to include Elderberry, White sage, Wild strawberry, California bay, and more. Natasha will discuss care requirements, design elements, and culinary uses of these special plants.
