The Literary Club at El Encanto

El Encanto has a deep connection to the literary arts, continuously building a network of the most acclaimed writers in Santa Barbara and beyond. This year, the hotel will continue its rich literary legacy with the launch of the Literary Club, a monthly series of luncheons that will bring noted writers to the hotel for intimate and thought-provoking conversations, book signings, and panels with guests. All while enjoying three-course menus with coffee and tea service.

Bestselling and award-winning author, David Pepper, will lead a lively discussion on his latest book, A Simple Choice. A political specialist, David Pepper is the author of The Voter File, The People’s House, The Wingman, and Laboratories of Autocracy. He has clerked for a judge on the United States Court of Appeals, and most recently, served as Chair of the Ohio Democratic Party from 2015-2021.
