The UC Master Gardeners of Santa Barbara County invite you to join us for a free, in person Victory Vegetable Garden (VVG) class, for the True Beginner on Saturday afternoon in September.
During World War II individuals and families all over the US turned their yards into highly productive vegetable gardens. The VVG class will cover essential information such as; soil and soil testing, site selection, soil amendments, composting, when, what and how to plant, and much more. Attendees will increase their gardening knowledge and skills.
Points to Remember:
– Registration is limited to 30, so register early. Registration is for attendance at all four sessions. Please be sure you can be present at each class before registering.
– A voluntary fee of $20.00 will be greatly appreciated, but is not required.
– Plan to dress in layers, bring a hat, bring water, wear garden shoes, and bring a comfortable folding chair.
– A certificate of completion will be awarded on completion of all four sessions.
