It will take a village, a lot of ring nets, and a bunch of ingenuity to prevent another disaster like the 1/9 Debris Flow. But if any community is capable of going toe-to-toe with nature, it’s Montecito. The first installation of a ring net took place in San Ysidro Canyon.
