Raul Anthony Morelos
Raul Anthony Morelos was born in Santa Barbara, California on December 1, 1962 to Jesus and Mildred Morelos.
Raul was the Thirteen of Fourteen children and the Eight of 8 Brothers, He attended local schools and graduated from Santa Barbara High School in 1981. He played High school football with Randall Cunningham and upon graduating pursued a career in the grocery business, and soon became one of the youngest store managers in the South Coast, for the Safeway chains.
He moved onto the industry of plumbing to fulfill his need to work with his hands as well as to enjoy the outdoors.
Raul loved to B.B.Q. He was on the B.B.Q team that won first place to B.B.Q for the Santa Maria Elks Millennium Dinner, he also Bar-B-Q’d for many fundraiser that included The Boys and Girls Club in Santa Barbara, Our Lady of Sorrows Spring Festival, ZooBQ and many other organizations.
Raul was especially noted for his generosity, beautiful smile and motivation to all he met. He never knew a stranger and was quick to lend a helping hand to all who needed it.
His greatest love was his, Mother. He would give of his time to make sure her yard was always maintained and taken care of.
He loved his family and always enjoyed being around all his Nieces and Nephews and many Family functions.
He will truly be missed, but will remain forever in our Hearts and minds.
A Catholic Rosary and Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church January 17, 2025 at 9:30am. To Honor his wishes there will be no reception..
