on Google Santa Barbara city administrators have chosen Rebecca Bjork to serve as the Interim Public Works Director after current director Christine Andersen retires on 11/1. Bjork — who has served as the city’s Water Resources Manager since 2007 — will oversee the Santa Barbara’s transportation system, water and wastewater facilities, and government-owned buildings and fleet. A recruitment effort has begun to permanently fill the seat, with an appointment expected by February 2014.
